Turning Culture Into Music: How Carlsberg Vietnam Found Its Rhythm at Work

What happens when corporate values stop living on posters and start moving to a beat? At Carlsberg Vietnam, culture isn’t just talked about – it’s sung, danced, and celebrated together.
In today’s multi-generational workplace, where Gen Z’s energy meets Gen X’s experience, finding a common language is one of the biggest challenges for companies. Carlsberg Vietnam’s answer was bold and unexpected: transform its corporate culture into a music video. The result is a vibrant mix of melody, dance, and teamwork – proof that culture becomes real when people live it together.

From a question to a bold idea

It began with a simple question: “If Carlsberg Vietnam’s culture were a song, how would it sound?”

The answer sparked a creative experiment, translating values into music and inviting both leaders and employees to bring them to life.

Inspired by Vietnamese pop star Hòa Minzy’s hit Bắc Bling, the song was reimagined with playful lyrics, catchy rhythms, and high-energy choreography. Everyday spaces, from the Phu Bai brewery in Hue to the offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, became stages. Colleagues stepped into new roles as singers, rappers, and dancers, turning abstract values into something visual, joyful, and unforgettable.

When leaders share the stage

One of the video’s most striking moments is seeing Carlsberg Vietnam’s leadership perform shoulder-to-shoulder with employees. On stage, titles disappear – there are no “executives” and “staff,” just people sharing the same rhythm.

“At Carlsberg Vietnam, every role matters, and everyone shares the same beat. When leaders immerse themselves alongside their teams, the distance fades away,” a company representative shared.

Growth Culture in motion

The video isn’t just entertainment. It’s a living illustration of Carlsberg Vietnam’s Growth Culture – the mindset that drives the way the company works every day:

  • Semper Ardens (always burning with passion) fuels the energy of every performance.
  • Positive energy flows across generations and functions.
  • Passion for consumers shines through the pride employees take in their brands.
  • Deciding fast and delivering with excellence are mirrored in the project’s rapid rollout.
  • Empowering people ensures that everyone has the chance to shine.

Diversity as a collective strength

The music video also embodies Carlsberg Vietnam’s commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I). From brewers to office staff, from Hue to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, employees stand side by side - each bringing their own personality, yet moving together in harmony.

This commitment is also reflected in gender balance. Today, more than 40% of Carlsberg Vietnam’s senior leadership positions are held by women – a powerful example of inclusion in action, and a reminder that diversity is not only celebrated but transformed into collective strength.

Asia’s Best Places to Work, three years in a row

In 2025, Carlsberg Vietnam was once again named one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia by the HR Asia Awards, marking its third consecutive year receiving the recognition.

This year’s theme, “Multi-Generation Synergy”, comes to life in the music video: Gen Z brings energy, Millennials add flexibility, and Gen X contributes resilience. Like different notes blending into a single melody, each generation brings something essential, showing that culture thrives when differences are embraced.

A culture written together

For Carlsberg Vietnam, culture is not defined by slogans or handbooks. It is built in everyday interactions – in offices, in breweries, and in the way people connect.

This music video is just one chapter of that journey. Above all, it shows that culture is at its best when lived together – in rhythm, in unity, and in the shared mission of brewing moments that matter for consumers, communities, and a sustainable future.
